Re: “It’s Christmas in Tucson, so of Course There’s a Santa Crawl

Jesus Christ is an instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, he sows love; where there is injury, he pardons; where there is doubt and despair, he brings hope; where there is ignorance and bigotry, he brings understanding and tolerance; where there is sadness, he brings joy.

Jesus Christ taught not so much to seek to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is through love that we are able to transform Ourselves and Human Society.

Re: “New Year's Eve in Bisbee

Bisbee on New Year's Eve is like Mardi Gras in winter. Good music. Great restaurants. And good vibes.

Re: “Yes, We Still Love You Courtney Robbins

I wholeheartedly agree! Ask her to sing "Alaska" and tell her it's a request from her friend, Pants. You won't be disappointed.

Re: “Remembering: International & Transgender Day of Remembrance

Thank you both for your clarifications. Our apologies.

Re: “Living Sonoran Strange

Press "More City Week," and you will see the remaining four we recommend for the week. Typically we pick five each week.

Re: “Living Sonoran Strange

The section is called "PICKS" and you can only come up with one?

Re: “Remembering: International & Transgender Day of Remembrance

Yes, in addition to being today, November 20, rather than Nov 30, Tucson’s Transgender Day of Remembrance observance, like all Trans Awareness Week events, is a collaboration among the ASUA Pride Alliance, the University's LGBTQ Affairs Office and the Southern Arizona Gender Alliance. More info on Awareness Week events can be found at

Re: “Remembering: International & Transgender Day of Remembrance

I'm very glad this is in the paper, but would like to point out that the vigil is on November 20th (tomorrow) not November 30th. Thank you!

Re: “An Evening with Mark and Gabby

You ignorant fucks that diss Gabby are truly pathetic. The woman, in official conduct of Congressional business, was gunned down by a psychotic gunman and her life changed forever. Do any of you mouth breathing morons think you'd have one-quarter of her gumption to overcome such adversity.? You are de facto disgusting. Nasty, ugly, pathetic.

Re: “An Evening with Mark and Gabby

Gabby is not conveying any thing that hasnt been conveyed before. The little pin head husband is just parading her around for the same o same o stuff to get him some tv and money. And people like you encourage him.

Re: “An Evening with Mark and Gabby

hadenough.. great post.. shows what an idiot you are, and an uncaring, psychopathic, gun toting, Terminator Wannabee you are.

People like you encourage those who really don't have any business owning a deadly weapon to go get one and use it.

The irony is that until some fruitcake like you uses a letha weapon on you, you won't understand the message that Gabby Giffords is trying to convey.

Live long an well in your state of paranoia.. but for the grace of God.

Re: “An Evening with Mark and Gabby

Hey "had enough," enough with the nasty verbiage. That is simply hate speak. If you don't like something call one of the many local talk radio shows that specialize in it. Or better yet keep it to yourself and others who only want to rant and hate. You are free to think anything you wish, but please show a little respect for those of us who want to encourage a more civilized country.

Re: “An Evening with Mark and Gabby

Who'd want to go see or hear the turn around back stabbing gabby? She needs to stick a sock in her mouth and shut the hell up about gun control. She's making people sick the way she is running all over the country thinking she's bettering things. Go home gabby and stay there.

Re: “City Week

We're running three picks instead of five (right now, although that might chance based on how many events we feel like recommending), but it's just a format change, not anything more sinister. These are still staff picks, even if not specifically labeled as such.

Re: “City Week

Really? With all the cuts being made by Weakly, why don't you just eliminate the entire City Week section altogether? It used to be interesting with events to notice and helpful tips on things to do. "Staff Picks? Nonexistent, "Event Picks of the Week" what, you can't find ANY to give some (previously) valuable help???
