Will the Chinese culture festival be showing how dogs are 'tenderized' in China before being killed for human consumption? Will it demonstrate how dogs in China are skinned alive for both the meat and fur trades? If not, you cam go to the facebook page for 'Trade Of Shame' to see for yourself.
Great article on a great film fest. Can't wait to check it out.
And now for the rest of the story. Mr. and Mrs. Roach wore wedding bands to symbolize their wedding ceremony held in April 1998. They kept their government sanctioned marital contract secret for 14 years until it was exposed in a New York Times article -- a year and half after their December 2010 divorce -- following the tragic death of the ex-Mrs. Roach's lover ...
Mr. Roach was not a 'monk' because monks lose their ordination vow by engaging in sexual activities, which are required for valid marriage, whether or not they continue to 'wear robes' or spout slanderous lies against those who do keep their monastic vows purely.
Perhaps, in the wake of the 2012 Diamond Mountain tragedy, the Tucson Weekly will do some fact checking before publishing promotional pieces for oxymoronic liars ("a monk should have a relationship with a special lady").
Great information! I have gone on the night safari and that was very thrilling experience for me, to see the animals in night especially there shinning eyes is very scary.
The Dead Animal Museum gets kids accustomed to seeing stuffed animals killed by sportsmen. This place is despicable. The Safari Club that owns it promotes "canned hunts" and the overseas hunting of endangered species. Perhaps you should mention the "trophy room" at the museum, where the walls are lined by scores of animal heads. Truly a neat spot for children to explore.
Throughout SAAVI's website, I could find no reference to the Southern Arizona Association for the Visually Impaired. Therefore, we went with SAAVI, period, as the name.
Are we supposed to know what SAAVY stands for? It is not mentioned anywhere in the article.
Before you ignorantly trash this little circus, you should learn about it: they do not include wild animals in their act.
Please don't take your kids to this circus; animals are tortured into submission since birth so that we can see them sit on stools!
They live in cages during travels and in between shows and "training", and, while in training are repetitively beaten into submission...until one of them "looses it".
For that occasion, I have champagne in my fridge.
Teach your kids to do the right thing and ask for a ban on circus wild animals; you are watching "stars" treated like you would never treat your dog, or you would be sent to jail.
Laughing Liberally sounds positively hilarious! I can't make it this month but I'll be sure to catch it online.

who knows where I can buy Mexican paper flowers in Tucson?
I did not see any black people at the sock hop, just like a party from the '50's. Wow, I didn't expect the college to make it that authentic.
I still want my daily gin collins.....to each his own.....
