Re: “Editor's Note

Mari. You still haven't explained your Trump is a racist comment. Well?

Re: “Editor's Note

Good thought. The recording provides for identifying those that make death threats by caller ID. I guess you could say people are behaving better on the phone than they do in person.

Re: “Editor's Note

Unless they allow their voice mailboxes to fill up and slow roll recording messages and freeing up slots for more callers.
Don't tell me there's not technology out there to accommodate an unlimited number of calls ... in the cloud.
And I'm sure the elected officials can find disciples/volunteers to listen to the recorded messages.

Re: “Editor's Note

Copied from another source. Feel free to repost everywhere:
"Calls are what all the congresspeople pay attention to. Every day, their staff and the Rep./Senator get a report of the 3 most-called-about topics for that day at each of their offices (in DC and local offices), and exactly how many people said what about each of those topics.

They're also sorted by zip code and area code. And this is IMPORTANT: Republican callers generally outnumber Democrat callers 4-1, and when it's a particular issue that single-issue-voters pay attention to (like gun control, or planned parenthood funding), it's often closer to 11-1, and that has pushed Republican congressfolks on the fence to vote with the other Republicans. In the last 8 years, Republicans have called, and Democrats have not."
Emails and online petitions are usually ignored, because interest groups have automated the process with pre-filled comments that one only has to add one's name to and click submit. Your elected representatives are not going to pay attention to communication that they know only took 30 seconds of your time.

Re: “Editors Note

Mari accused Trump of being a racist. I'm still waiting for her to tell us what proof she has of that. I'm not holding my breath. More to follow.

Re: “Editors Note

Did Obama fund Palestinian terrorists with part of the $9.2B given to the UN?

Re: “Editors Note

France didn't give us the statue to promote open borders/immigration nor did Emma Lazarus's words come with it. Aztlan Mari will consider anyone racists for not accepting that Tucson should be Mexico again.

When will you assimilate Mari, when will you accept and embrace being an American?

Re: “Editors Note

Now that Trump is in charge that just may happen.
I'm still waiting, Mari.

Re: “Editors Note

CW during the Carter years this new wave of leftinistas hadn't yet been born. Or smoked tons of legal weed. If somebody tries to create them a job, they get angry. they do volunteer work for Soros. Or does he pay them?

The Feds need to track those cash disbursements.

Re: “Editors Note

Yep, that damn Trump trying to keep us safe. Years ago Pres. Carter did the same thing to refugees from Iran. I don't recall the left going batshit then. Just saying.

Re: “Editors Note

Thanks. I just never heard the statue itself being called a statute.

Re: “Editors Note

@Debra C:
No accident. There's a plaque at the entrance to the Statue of Liberty which contains Emma Lazarus' great ode - which Mari quotes in part here.

" I talked about what it says on the Statute of Liberty:"

Please tell us that was an accident. Please.

Re: “Editors Note

Last week you said Trump was a racist. I asked you what you based that on. You never responded. I'm still waiting.

Re: “Editors Note

Statute of Liberty? Well your protesters last night declared war at UC Berkley and attacked free speech, innocent people, campus police and univesity structures. Firebombed buildings and vehicles.

War has been declared. What response would you expect public safety to make?

I guess Mari has nothing to back up what she said. What a surprise.

Re: “Editor's Note

"Pobrecita ac/dc...tempter tantrum?...marmalade on toast..."

How does any of this cryptic writing apply to anything in this thread?

I decided to read the article and the commentary twice, very thoroughly, and I still have no clue.

One thing that I have figured out by doing this, is that What, Again is not a stable person.

Another thing I've figured out is that What, Again is probably referring to his or her self when referencing the "tempter" tantrum. The comment posted on 1/27/2017 by What, Again is the only comment posted here where there appears to be a childish 3 year-old style meltdown occurring. I've always believed it's similar to that old "If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime" cliche...meaning that "If you don't follow the commentary rules, then don't expect your post to remain in the thread".

I've read plenty of What, Again's postings throughout the last year or so and this is a person who comes across as having a lot of misplaced anger and a lot of time to waste writing about it on their hands. Finding a hobby that doesn't involve so much detestation would be a healthier opinion for the unstable persona of What, Again.

Pobrecita ac/dc. Do you feel better after your tempter tantrum? You deserve some extra marmalade on your toast today.
