Re: “Whiskey Tango

I love how clean this place is compared to many other Tucson venues. Great staff, great stage, great lightshow. The band B-SIDE is easily one of Tucsons finest rock bands - outstanding musicianship, and an amazing array of songs. You rarely hear a band with such a deep repertoire of music and the skills to play every note spot on.

Re: “Little Café Poca Cosa

Not sure what is up with the negative comments. . . I have never had anything but PHENOMENAL meals at The Little One; there isn't a bad choice on the menu. My personal favorites are the Cochinito en Chipotle, and the Mole; also unbelievable Chile Rellenos and Tamales, AND AMAZING limonadas and fresh fruit drinks that will KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!! (try the beet-mandarin limonada if she has it). Incredibly fresh food made with love, and, yes, hugs (and generally kisses too) are mandatory. Service is fast and friendly. SO, if you are uptight you might not like the vibe (loud music and an owner who loves her patrons), but only a fool or a philistine would not love the food!

Bradford Turner is the OWNER of this Gallery not the name of the gallery.
The correct name is Major Day Gallery & Frame Shop and is listed elsewhere in the gallery listings on this website.
Regular hours for the Isabelle Regout reverse glass paintings now showing at Major Day Gallery are Thursday - Sunday 6-8 pm or we will be happy to show by appt. by calling Major Day Gallery @ 520-622-1252. The current show will continue thru Sept. 30th.

Re: “Tanque Verde Swap Meet

I wasn't sure what to expect when my friend invited us but holy cow, I can't believe I never knew about this place! It is huge! We went with the kids and had a blast - TONS of vendors. Lots that are selling clothes and stuff from L.A., tools, bookstore, car stuff but also some super cool estate sales, antiques, yard salers. You can actually buy beer and walk around the entire market with it! There were a bunch of kids rides, food vendors and some live dancers on the stage too. The whole place felt more like a fair or festival then what I tihnk of as a swap meet but the bargains are definitely there too. My husband found a perfect condition car rack for $30! He had been planning on buying a new one that was $350. It's fun to treasure hunt here - we will definitely be back.

Re: “Casa Vicente Restaurante Español

This restaurant serves world-class food and wine. The only authentic Spanish restaurant in the area, with seafood, lamb, beef, pork and vegetarian selections, as well as many smaller tapas. There is live entertainment nightly, plus the annual Flamenco Festival.

Re: “Teresa's Mosaic Café

We ordered the cheese crisp. We forgot to order chiles on it. When she brought it back it had green peppers on it. I said these are green peppers, and she told the cook and he said no, those are green chiles. Ok. Bottom line is I was born in Tucson and raised on sonoran style Mexican food. I KNOW the difference between the two. Don't insult me by telling me different. And, and, the beans I ordered maybe were four tablespoons full. If the young man who came to the table to sooth us is the owner, oh, my, god. Good luck in the future little boy, were gone and won't be back. Barry A Malone

Re: “Copper Point School

As a parent who values education, I am surprised that this school is not getting the attention it deserves. Tucson is full of charter schools, all claiming to be different, exciting, and exceptional. Given proper exposure and support, this one will live up to those claims. Extraordinary staff and administration My daughter loves this school, and I couldn't be happier for her.
