Like most Sunday nights downtown it wasn't real crazy. However, my girlfriend and I did stop in the Plush to see the Coins of Catalina and enjoyed them alot. Thanks for the CD's guys.
KJ Sean is by far one of the best KJ's I have ever met. He has the most diverse and comprehensive collection of song choices and provides a fun experience.
The Venue, Salty Dawg, while a bit congested at times, provides friendly and fast service.
TMW is a must see whether its at the Salty Dawg or a street corner!
Come sing with one of Tucson's finest men's choral groups and perform in a chorus or quartet.
The weather was beautiful, and the music was awesome! This guy plays and sings very well. I'll for sure go back.
Monterey Court is a nice place. The restaurant is intimate and the food is very good and reasonably priced. This time my girlfriends and I ate on the patio and listened to the live music. I'm pretty much a fan of current pop and rock, but I totally enjoyed this music. I'm 28 but I remember my parents listening to the music Kelly plays. Neil Diamond, Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, Eagles, John Denver, even Pink Floyd. I liked the acoustic guitar and he has a nice voice - it was like a personal concert. Definitely recommend!
We sat on the patio having drinks and listened as Kelly sang hit after hit. The songs were all favorites from the sixties and seventies but not the standrd boring jukebox fare. Kelly is a refreshing break from the typical bar-scene musicians. He really puts all of himself into his performance and connects with the crowd. A very pleasant surprise!
Place is great, music is fun and so is karaoke Dj Brandon. Go with open mind Karaoke dj is ADD and it shows so sometimes rotation gets mixed up. It is Fun just make sure you keeping your ears open for your name.. No food unfortunately but some dang strong drinks.
This was a great event! The portraits were up all over the walls and the vibe of the art and music was totally cool as the full moon came up. Loved it!
Caliente DJ has a great variety of music from Old school to the new hits and even reggaeton and cumbias! He has the party lights and he's system sounds great! The music he spins makes you wanna dance! =)
REALLY GREAT!
What an eclectic exhibition of sculpture jewelry and paintings. Nice peaceful gallery.
Awesome show. Well worth the visit!
My Husband and I attended the show just this weekend--Valentine weekend. If you know anything about Tucson...well some of the post before may have had their expectations set wayyyy high. From where it was held, you should'nt have expected a lot. But when we sat down, it was pretty hillarious. Loved Trixie, the southern tranny, a Rupaul reject. She/It made the whole show funny. The food was typical diner food, and you're right, the chicken sauce was questionable...but the dessert was scrumptious. We sat with 3 other couple in our table and they too had a blast. It's similar to Gaslight without the singing and yes, the actors and actress' worked hard as our wait staff too... My only reccomendation is perhaps to lower the price. I recommend it.....w/o high expectations...you ARE, by the way, in Tucson! :-)
Good atmosphere. DJ Century spun a repertoire of music that kept the party going.
Played my requests and made it a fun time for me and my friends. Tucson's newest cutting edge Dj, check him out the boy has skills!
I meant to star this event. I only wish we could have had the whole parking lot for the performers ... and I have a feeling that is what is happening for the next one on September 21!!!
It says karaoke/ Open Mic, which is true, but the Open Mic is predominantly a Stand-up Comedy Open Mic, whereas at most other bars Open Mics are mainly geared toward Live Music/ Jams, so acoustic acts are welcome, but please aim to be funny. The Karaoke after Open Mic is usually pretty awesome too, because some of the comics stick around and sing... drunk, so that's entertaining. Wednesdays are All You Can Eat Wings for $9.99, also $1 Domestic Drafts along with other great drink specials and for anyone who performs atleast 3 times in a row, you get a free burger and soda. So please come down, bring your friends, have a good times. Open Mic starts at 7:30/8:00, Karaoke starts about 9:30/10:00
Great for people watching and very interesting Art. Good shoes a must, lots of walking. Be sure to wear your sunscreens and a hat. They also have lots of hats for sale there. Please don't bring your dog, no matter how much you love them, it's so crowded and hot, it's not fair for the animal.
'skp' should stay in his nursing home so he isn't bothered by the rest of us who actually live life & have a little fun. Hey 'skp', I think their calling you for bingo time...
Re: “Gather: A Vintage Market”
Lots of work went in to this labor of love. The old building adds to the charm. Lots of great items in a small space. Well thought out. No junk which is a real pleasure. The only negative is the parking.
