Re: “La-La Land

Love, love, LOVE this band. Found them last year when iHeartRadio suggested "Finally Free" based on my listening history. Shortly thereafter, they played a local radio festival, and I've been hooked ever since. Seeing them tomorrow night in Dallas with VIP passes. Honestly, the most genuine, sincere artists who really take time to get to know their fan base. Mixi is a sweetheart, and the guys are just truly awesome as well. They save kittens. 'Nuff said.

Re: “The Theory: The Theory (Self-released)

Actually, keyboardist Jon Powell hails from England, so that makes for four cultural ingredients in this "salad bowl" (not melting pot) of a band.

Re: “Noise Annoys

Not bad, it sounds like an attempt at early 90's hip-hop like Guru's Jazzmatazz

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

At least there were only four of them when I saw them. The audience was the fifth. Some sites list 5 band members, but that is not my remembrance.

Re: “Vintage Vinyl

Hey, I remember "The Five of Us". It was a great little 4 piece group!

Re: “Too Much Junkie Business

great read - thanks. "everybody stares, and everybody hoots. johnny always needs, more than he shoots. new york city, i guess it's cool when it's dark, and there's one sure way, you can leave your mark. johnny's gonna die.."
just finished 'trouble boys' about the replacements and the story about paul westerberg seeing thunders and the look in his eyes, and getting this jolt and writing 'johnny's gonna die' right after that, plus the audacity to write it while he was still alive and close to his peak is chilling.
