Re: “Yet Another Guadalajara Grill Suffers Fire; UPDATE: Declared Total Loss

The owners were divorced and have remarried and each one got a restaurant in the settlement. The 1st fire was located in a laundry room, and cause smoke damage only to the main dining rooms. The second fire is a total loss for the very successful restaurant. My heart goes out to the owners and the employees who now are out of work.

Takamatsu as well but that was understandable because they needed a new walk in freezer for the fresh sushi.

Re: “Editor's Note

It wouldn't be the first hack establishment to throw up a beta website to let the users hash out all the bugs. At a higher cost to the consumer.

Re: “Yet Another Guadalajara Grill Suffers Fire; UPDATE: Declared Total Loss

The owners of the two burnt down restaurants are allegedly ex spouses. Commonly known as co-parenting; what works in one household likely works in the other.

Just in recent memory establishments who's pesky electrical outlets spark up when not in use and when no one is around....Rincon Market, TD's, Guadalajara, Guadalajara 2.0.

It's one way to get an insurance remodel but let's not jump to conclusions.

Look for more of the same with establishments downtown after 12 months or so of the trolly "impact".

Re: “Fire Closes Guadalajara Original Grill Temporarily

i wonder if they paid for the rights to use the name from its original founders, who are from Sinaloa Mex. I suspect they did not and that this fire was not an accident.

The good news? We haven't totally sucked the Ol' Pebble dry - yet! Can't wait to ride the Trolley over to the Jolly Tamale for a cuppa joe and a green corn tamale! Yummo!

That was an extremely stupid article. Do you have a word for it?

When Arizona has high-speed rail from Tucson to Phoenix, connecting to all major cities, then I will celebrate.

Can't wait to check it out. So happy to see Tucson adding more fun and different things to do and excited to see investors putting their dollars into our city.

$1 billion in new businesses and jobs because of the streetcar. Plus tax revenues from this. Can you not add?

Don't drink too much of the Koolaid, David. From my experience, those who pose as "The Smartest Man in the Room" rarely are. For a readable take on this type of character, I recommend Professor Aaron James's, "Assholes *a theory".

Do you just wait around to correct spellings. And yes it's an old one. I think you just don't like me for my political views. I am going to enjoy this.......for a long time.

Re: “Death By Misadventure

I had a class the next year, at Santa Rita High School, with the 15 year-old daughter in this story...Karen. She invited me over to her house once, just off-base at the corner of Mann and Nicaragua. As my hair was starting to grow (this was late 1970), and as I had heard rumblings of this tragedy, I politely declined the invitation. Nearly 44 years later this sad story still resonates.
