Re: “AZ Democratic Party Ties McSally to Rep. Franks' Comments on Rape and Abortion

Just when I though I couldn't dislike the Democrat party more than I do. The Democrats are starting early on their smear campaign. They must be getting ready for the 2014 elections.
I already know who I am voting for...thanks Democrats for helping me yet again choose between right and wrong....

Re: “Hispanics Leading Minority Growth in AZ

This article is just more propaganda for those here illegally. Republicans don't have an issue with Hispanics, but do have an issue with those who choose to break our laws, nor are Republicans and those who are against illegal activity hostile toward Hispanics. Lets get down to facts instead of lies coming from the Democrats and their supporters. The issue today is the illegal immigration of millions, which most are of Hispanic origin. Most American citizens are against people just hopping over our borders, over staying their visa, providing fake ID, stealing other American's social security card numbers and making themselves at home at our expense. Democrats = lawlessness in my book. What one supports is clearly an indication of values or lack of them. It appears more propaganda is being vomited up by Democrats and their followers.

"She said she had numerous stories from people"
Wow, *stories*, from *people*. Now there's some ironclad anecdotal evidence from an unbiased source. I don't need any more convincing. (sarcasm there folks).
These are the same irresponsible people (pro-illegal groups and most of the media) who were behind the SB1070 hysteria. You know, the ones that said you'd need your passport to drive thru Arizona with brown skin. Hasn't happened. Can we get a correction folks? I didn't think so.

Re: “Buffet at the Desert Diamond Casino and Hotel

I think its a rip off. I went with my mom & 2 of my children on Sunday for brunch for Father's Day. They were charging 19.95 per adult with is reasonable but then they said they didn't have a kids price they were charging me 19.95 for my children who were 4 & 5 which I think is ridiculous! Really like they don't make enough money? Half price would've been fine but to pay the same as an adult is crazy!

Re: “Danehy

Wow Tom,
You really hit the nail on the head!
This Arizona monster, Attorney General Tom "The Scarecrow" Horne along with the rest of the bunch governing this state, need to get a clue. Governor Jan "The Wicked Witch of the West" Brewer who just won a political battle with the help of the same democrats that she had despised all along. Superintendent of Public Instruction John "The Wizzard of OZ" Huppenthal who is systematically destroying our public education system. Semi-retired ex-Senate President Russell "The Cowardly Lion" Pearce who won't accept the fact that the electorate is tired of him. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe "The Tinman" Arpaio who's running scared because he too may wind up in his own open air tents, wearing pink underwear and eating those delicious baloney sandwiches that he's been feeding the prisoners. Just another day in "The Land of OZ" folks. I wouldn't live anywhere else!

Re: “Bird Brains

Margaret, I really like your approach with this review: identifying and summarizing a common theme with much of the artwork (i.e. birds), and then then sorting it all out with an ad hoc "awards ceremony". You should take it a step further, and create a "Regan" award for each of those categories. "And the winner of the Regan for 'Best Vacation' goes to....!" And then email the winner a little jpg file of the award graphic. ;)

Re: “[UPDATE] Power Outages in Downtown Tucson

They're gonna start callin' Tucson "The Circuit Breaker."

As a city, we are so unprepared for the calamities coming. Really sad, it's not as if we weren't warned.

Re: “Smith Smacks His Head

I voted for that stupid bill because I figured that if it helped someone and I didn't have to be any part of it, that it would be fine.

Then you promptly polluted the environment with the fucking green leaf symbol. You've turned entire city blocks into that coffee table you describe.

Lower back pain my ass, pothead.

Re: “AZ Illustrated Politics: Brewer's Power Play, Rape & Pregnancy, Offensive Tweets & More!

Quote: "agreed that Congressman Trent Franks made some dumb remarks about abortion and rape; blasted the racist and anti-gay tweets coming from the teenaged son of Sen. Jeff Flake."

Some dumb remarks..eh? Not that most republicans actually disagree with Franks or Jeff Flake's son, it was just dumb they came out and said them. I'm betting a good 60-75% of all republicans agree with both of them.

Re: “Federal Judge Adopts TUSD Deseg Budget and Special Master Recommendations

And, what does all this mean? More of the same? Improvements? How is it defined when it is stated, we require from the participants more than just shouting from the sidelines? Is it expected that "past behavior is indicative of future behavior?" as Doctor Phil so often states?'
Studies of desegregation back east which have run their course over the past 40 years, to the best of my knowledge, show that after a ka-zillion dollars spent, civil unrest, massive population re-settlements, little has been accomplished and courts have abandoned the concept of forced bussing for other solutions.
While I have no " horse in this race " and have not followed the public discussion that closely, I wonder if any of this national discussion has impacted the local legal squabble at all.
