Re: “The Star is Poor

Rqt...Tiny Tim was a solo act. Bet you have all his records and that you cried the day he got married.

Re: “Howard Salmon: 'My Doctors Say I'll be a Goner by Year's End'

I remember Howie very well from his days with the Phantom Limbs. And also from his fanzine called "Slit" that he wrote and produced. I remember once he said in his zine that Jeff from the Limbs resembled something like a cross between Elvis Costello and a penguin! He always had a smile on his face and was a very nice and humble guy. R.I.P Hopwie, you will be missed.

Re: “The Star is Poor

Actually, "my band" existed in THE SIXTIES AND 70's (!!!!) and was in Spin , Rolling Stone (never made the cover) and about a dozen other music magazines. You don't need to know the name, hell because you're so smug I'd never tell ya.
We all got rich and did just fine.
The weekly goes thru talentless bands like tissue paper. This is just the most recent that will go nowhere.

Timmothy: Feel free to send us some info about your band. Did you guys get profiled in Spin?

Re: “The Star is Poor

Yet another Tucson band for the Weekly to get all wet about. They play nowhere in front of nobody, very few people in Tucson have ever heard of them or heard them play.
But the weekly says they are the next big thing. Sure.

Just wait a few months and the weekly will anoint yet another gonowhere local band.

I enjoyed reading your well written article above and want to thank Mr. Levine for writing it. I have been listening to A Fall To Break for the last year now including their awesome new CD 'Disaster Destruction and After' and consider myself an A Fall To Break fan for life! Sincerely, Jill Smith
