Great write up! Don't forget Union Public House and Reforma Cantina Y Cocina, also provide COMP valet service , Wed-Sat, for dinner service! Valet is provided by Southwest Valet.
Thanks for letting us know, Dana! Sorry about the error.
^ I second that. Kazoku is delicious.
The best is the best. This isn't soccer trophies for participating. I love the fact that a liberal rag can talk about winners.
Would love to be notified about events via email. Is there a way do this?
I love that Chuck George came in second even though he has been gone for far too long. But, after all, he is still giving us major updates on Tucson weather. I'd love to see Wes Callison get the honor next year.
"I did not have Mexican food with that woman."
That may be but you have to try Kozoku on Speedway near Columbus. Lunch specials are unbelievable. I think it it used to be Three Sisters.
Thanks for the shout out! One thing though. My last name is spelled Fehr. Thanks again!
Gem Show--- a conglomerate of some local but mostly out of state dealers wins, over locally owned brick and mortar stores with employees who all DO LIVE IN TUCSON, not just 11 days a year, WOW !!!!
Next year maybe we should pick a split between Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny for best local Children's Performers. Tucson Weakly does us proud !!!!!
Why does Le Cave's make the top spot after being shutdown by the county for "Gross Unsanitary Conditions"?
Niklas Morris makes the Best cocktails I have ever tasted! You really need to go to the Tough Luck Club and see for yourself! His personality and humor are the best also! Tell Him Hugh and Cindi sent you......He will give you V.I.P. status
What exactly is the stereotype of a woman doing weather?!?!?! Was this article written in 1970?
What is it about the new TW that just can't get the Clinton presidency facts correct? I mean, we all would like to forget about his time in office, but c'mon! This makes 2 for 2 with the Clinton/Mi Nidito mistakes. Shame on you TW.
Thanks for the response Chelo!
And yes, I did read yesterday's announcement. It acknowledged the B of T insert being delayed, not the issue it was to be stuffed inside of. If you re-read my original post you will notice that I did not mention anything regarding the insert.
I was hoping to get my weekly NY Times crossword puzzle fix. I am patient enough to wait for the B of T in slaughtered tree form. Even if I change my mind about that, I have the option of viewing it online. Unfortunately I do not have that option regarding my crossword jones. It's good to know that the current issue will probably be there when I go to get one later today.
Thank you for the information. DC
I'm afraid the winners are 100 percent reader decided, though we do encourage readers to support local business—in their Best Of voting and otherwise.
Az/DC: The printer we used to print Best Of missed their deadline, and the papers are late because we were holding them until we got BoT to insert. Sadly, we're still waiting for them to arrive. We eventually had to send the papers out without Best Of. The papers should have started showing up in racks this morning.
We do have a small number of Best Ofs available at our office. Best Of will (I'm told) be inserted in next week's paper. We're disappointed and we know our readers are, too.
We posted this announcement on the Range yesterday: http://www.tucsonweekly.com/TheRange/archi…
Had the pleasure of working on stage with Joe many years ago. He's a master at what he does, and a thoroughly nice person, too.
Why is there no print version available in the places I usually (and not usually) go to get one? I tried Bookmans on Grant, eegee's locations on Campbell & on Tucson Blvd. & the box y'all got at Speedway & Norris. (On the NE corner of Aloft's parking lot.) WTF? Are your distributors on strike?
One might assume this issue is so popular that it has disappeared from these areas already because of popular demand, until they notice several issues of last weeks issue (in all but one location) in the box.
Please respond. DC
