Re: “Char's Thai

So far the best Thai in Tucson (and I've had some of the best in LA). Nothing fancy, just good Thai food.

Re: “Bangkok Café

Very slow service. Thai dishes were entirely too greasy. Sorry to say we won't be back. Do yourself a favor. There are much better places. Try Char's on 5th. We also like Thai China Siam off Oracle Road.

Re: “Bai Thong

We gave the place two chances. Both times the food took entirely too long to arrive and it was always very greasy. Poor service and food wasn't wasn't happening. I won't be back a third time. Unfortunately, there are very few good places to eat in Tucson. Although I only went twice, Thai China Siam up on Oracle has been one of the best for Thai food.

Re: “Bangkok Café

Eaten here once; will again. Rundown:

+s
*Decent atmosphere
*Friendly staff
*Great curry

-s
*Specialty drinks overpriced
*Slightly overpriced overall, but justifiable

Re: “Bai Thong

Eaten here once; will eat again. Rundown:

+s
*Great spice! (actually made HOT by Thai standards, not the prudish soccer-mom appeal [no disrespect, moms!])
*Large portions

-s
*Not much thought put into the decor

Re: “Bangkok Café

I love Bangkok Cafe!!! I moved to tucson from st.louis and really missed my fave. curry resturant ( Simply Thai ). My husband and I never thought another place would compare. We were happily wrong, Bangkok is great! The people are always nice.

Re: “V Fine Thai

Decent food, decent service EXCEPT IF the owner is waiting on you as most days she has a bit of an attitude. Prices are higher than most other Thai places AND "5 out of 5" on the hot scale here is really pretty mild (at least for my palate). Char's and Bangkok Cafe have this place beat on all counts.
