TSO MasterWorks: Barber & Copland-American Souvenirs

When: Sat., Oct. 18, 8-10 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 19, 2-4 p.m. 2014

TSO Concertmaster Lauren Roth makes her solo debut performing the Menotti Violin Concerto, one of three mid-20th century works on the program. Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring won a Pulitzer while Samuel Barber’s Souvenirs is a ballet suite with memorable melodies. Also features Musica Celestis by Pulitzer Prize-winner Aaron Jay Kernis.
