Sorry, Range readers: We’re taking a few days off from blogging. We’re going to spend the next four days bundled up, drinking some hot chocolate and reading books. We’ll be back to business on Monday. Until then, you’ll just have to satisfy your Weekly reading (and hate commenting) with the stories from the print edition:

Get started with this year’s Local Heroes cover story, where you’ll learn the stories of six incredible Tucsonans. If you’re looking for something to love, hop over to Heather’s food and music year-in-review pieces. Not sick of the Star Wars hype yet? Bob Grimm loved it and he’ll tell you why in a spoiler-free review.

Need more? Sorry. Check back tomorrow for Casa Video’s weekly Top 10. We’ll see you on Monday.

Until then, here’s a video of some bengal cats fighting over an exercise wheel.

  1. To the Tucson Weekly Staff regarding the Birthday of Christ:

Jesus Christ is an instrument of peace. Where there is hatred, he sows love; where there is injury, he pardons; where there is doubt and despair, he brings hope; where there is ignorance and bigotry, he brings understanding and tolerance; where there is sadness, he brings joy.

Jesus Christ taught not so much to seek to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is through love that we are able to transform Ourselves and Human Society.

Que la paz y el amor de Jesucristo prevalezca en la tierra y en su carazon tambien este dia y siempre!

  2. Francis – so you calling me a racist with no facts whatsoever is how you follow Christ? Sounds to me like you are sowing hatred.

But then again, as a liberal, hypocrisy is a non-stop event.

Tucson Weekly staff taking a few days off for Christmas? To celebrate the birth of Christ? What happened to worshipping their Lord, God Obama? Or sacrificing white people to the Church of Global Warming?

  3. The “hate commenting” jab was worthy of a Sheldon Adelson owned institution. Oh wait, he wouldn’t allow comments. Still, Merry F$%^ing Christmas.
