The Fabulous Thunderbirds roll into town with Bugs Henderson at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 24. Advance tickets are $10, $12 at the door. All shows benefit the Rialto Theater Renovation Project. OPERA GUILD GALA. The Opera Guild of Southern Arizona hosts its annual benefit Gala "Ein deutscher Abend" Mit Herr Glynn Ross und seinen Freunden, beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Mountain View Restaurant, 1220 E. Prince Road. The evening features a Mozart's birthday program of arias and ensembles from Die Zauberflote. German dress is encouraged. Space is limited. Tickets are $35 ($25 tax-deductible). MUSICIANS NEEDED. Conductor Laszlo Veres and The Foothills Phil seek new members for the winter/spring season. Rehearsals are from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, beginning January 25, at Catalina Foothills High School Band Room, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. This inter-generational orchestra is open to all musicians. Auditions are not required, but there is a $25 registration fee.
