Kids get a chance to make a their own decorations at a just-for-kids Southwest Holiday Ornament Workshop from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Sunday, December 15. Register to make one ornament--a mini-desert wreath, Devil's Claw reindeer, petroglyph or birdseed "gingerbread" gila monster or saguaros. Participants under 14 years of age making the wreath or reindeer must have an adult helper. Cost is $5. Reservations are required and space is limited. Call 742-6455 for registration.

SANTA SIGHTING. The Haunted Bookshop. 7211 N. Northern Ave. 297-4843. The one, the only, Santa Claus visits The Haunted Bookshop from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 7. There will be a variety of homemade cookies and punch, and parents will receive a free Polaroid of their children with the big red guy. Call 297-4843 for information.

JUST FOR KIDS. The Tucson Symphony Orchestra's Brass Quintet presents December Celebrations Around the World--Past and Present from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave. This free children's concert features young brass students from St. Cyril School, performing holiday favorites such as O Christmas Tree and Good King Wenceslas and more.
