IRISH GROOVES. Berger Performing Arts Center. 1200 W. Speedway. Martin Hays and Dennis Cahill bring Irish Fiddle and Celtic song to the old pueblo at 8 p.m. Friday, December 5. JAZZ SHOWCASE. Mat Bevel Institute. 530 N. Stone Ave. Zeitgeist presents Making It Up in Real Time, a six-hour jazz improvisation concert, beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 6. Performing are Mary Redhouse, Cortex Bomb, Audio Radiance, the Lee Gardner/Ed Ulman Quintet, the Aaron Bonsall Trio and the Mat Bevel Orchestra. JUST FOR KIDS. Tucson Center for the Performing Arts. 408 S. Sixth Ave. The Tucson Symphony Orchestra continues its Just For Kids concert series on Saturday, December 6, with The Groove of Food. Percussionists Homero Cerón and Brian Harris will use traditional Mexican foods to illustrate different rhythms and note values in music. Parents and kids are invited to enjoy these free, informal concerts, designed to introduce classical music to kids and families. The Tucson Horizon Chorus of Sweet Adelines International present Moments to Remember, a concert of all-time favorites at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6.
