SEDONA SCULPTURE WALK. The Sedona Arts Center presents the 10th Annual Sedona Sculpture Walk Friday through Sunday, October 3 through 5. The Walk offers visitors one of the West's most renowned celebrations of sculpture, with forms from Native American and Western themes, to contemporary and abstract images in wood and metal. Exhibit hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5, free for children under 12. Food and beverages will be available. ARCHITECTURE WEEK. Explore historic downtown Tucson with an eye for architecture at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, October 5. In honor of Architecture Week, two tours will be leaving the Tucson Museum of Art: the first travels north through the El Presidio neighborhood; the second travels as far south as the Sosa-Carillo-Frémont House. ART WALK. A wealth of fine artists and galleries await you with the weekly Art Walk, a self- or docent-guided stroll through the Downtown Arts District between 5 and 7:30 p.m. Thursdays. Free tours of public art displays and participating galleries begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Park Inn Suite Santa Rita Hotel, 88 E. Broadway. ARTIST LOANS. Applications are available for the fall cycle of the Tucson Arts District's Art Space Development Loan Program, designed to preserve existing spaces and stimulate the development of new spaces. Projects resulting in equity positions for artists and/or arts organizations, and those resulting in the renovation of existing buildings for long-term art uses, will be given preference. Amounts of up to $5,000 are available for acquisition, renovation, and/or rehabilitation of downtown-area property. Application deadline is Wednesday, October 8. CALL TO ARTISTS. Dinnerware Contemporary Art Gallery is accepting slides for its artist roster. Inclusion on the roster confers eligibility for exhibitions and membership in the artists' cooperative. To qualify, applicants must work professionally in the visual arts (not working toward a degree), be Tucson residents, pay monthly dues of $35, and be willing to contribute time and energy to the Dinnerware Artists' Cooperative. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Tucson Jewish Community Center is accepting proposals from artists in two-dimensional media for the 1998 Fine Art Gallery exhibition schedule. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Tucson International Mariachi Conference seeks submissions for the Bank One Tucson International Mariachi Conference Poster. Artists are invited to submit original artwork, sketches, or three slides, completed within the last two years. An honorarium of $1,000 will be awarded. Work should reflect the 1998 Conference theme: Aires Mexicanos--its impact and culture significance, in an abstract or representational style. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Tucson/Pima Arts Council seeks proposals for four site walls along Broadway in downtown Tucson. Individual artists and teams may apply for one or more walls. All four have large, unrusticated surfaces. Any durable, safe medium, two- or three-dimensional, will be considered.
