Throughout the month of September, they're offering free hour-long workshops at various public libraries on test-taking strategies, when to take the test, who should take it, and how scores are used in the college admissions process. AT HOME MOMS. At Home Moms is a national, non-profit network of at-home mothers. Local chapters offer meetings, playgroups, outings and more. See what they're all about at an informational meeting for the East/Central chapter at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 25. Call Amy at 721-5787 for information.

FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS. Identifying sources of financial aid is not always easy. The Tucson Pima Library is offering free workshops September 23 and 30 with speaker Mary Lucas, financial aid and college planning consultant. Call 791-4391 for times and locations.

RAINBOW FAMILIES. St. Francis In The Foothills. River and Swan roads. Room 31. Rainbow Families, Tucson's gay, lesbian and bisexual parents network, meets at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 20. TEDDY BEAR DRIVE. Local radio station 92.9 Cool FM extends a paw to the many agencies helping Tucson's children with a new and previously-loved Teddy Bear Drive. The bears will be redistributed to local agencies such as Casa De Los Niños, the University Medical Center emergency room, the American Cancer Society, Child Protective Services and others. SINGLE MOTHERS BY CHOICE. Learn more about a support and networking group for single women who have chosen or are considering motherhood via insemination, adoption, etc. SMC holds monthly meetings. Call 745-5707 for information.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Children To Children, a non-profit grief support center for children and their families, needs volunteers to train as support group facilitators. Our next volunteer training begins soon. Call 322-9155 for information.
