The National Hispanic Heritage Month celebration continues at 7 p.m. with a festive mixture of dance, music and song with Los Gallos Mariachis and Folklorico Etc. at the Ronstadt Transit Center and on Pennington between Scott and Sixth Avenue; Catch a flick at the Screening Room, 127 E. Main Ave., El Centro Cultural's annual Tamale Festival begins, with 4,000 green corn tamales prepared to benefit the UA Hispanic Alumni Scholarship Fund. FALL WICCAN FESTIVAL. Reid Park, Ramadas 4 and 5, 3300 E. 22nd St. The Tucson Area Wiccan Network presents Fall Festival '96. Celebrate from 10 a.m. to closing Saturday, September 21. There will be workshops, artists, a raffle, auction and much more. Come dressed as your favorite trickster for the costume contest. This event is free and open to the public. OKTOBERFEST. Hi Corbett Field Annex, Reid Park. Get out your lederhosen for Oktoberfest '96 through September 22. There will be more than 150 arts and crafts people, entertainment and a variety of traditional foods and beverages. Tucson Blvd. The Tucson Legal Secretaries Association is sponsoring a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, benefiting the Tucson Shalom House, a non-profit organization that helps homeless women and their children find shelter, safety and self-sufficiency.

WALKTOBERFEST ALERT. Get your friends, neighbors, kids and colleagues together for Walktoberfest '96 on Sunday, October 6. Teams will compete for prizes, with individual walkers also welcome. After the walk there will be an awards ceremony with live music from Pulse; Tuffy Toro and Wilber and Wilma Wildcat will be on hand to visit with the kids; munchies from Eegee's and more.
