The Tucson Parks and Recreation Community Theatre program seeks actors ages 7 and up for their third-annual, multigenerational production of Another Day in the Glade, part of the Spring Classics Showcase. The University Activities Board of the University of Arizona is having open auditions for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare--Abridged, to be performed on campus in late April. There are only three male parts. The auditions are from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, February 9; and Wednesday, February 11. All auditioners are to prepare a one-minute monologue for the audition. PLAY MARATHON. Third Street Kids, a performing arts company designed to provide education, training and experience in the arts to children, seeks scripts for their One-Act Play Marathon April 20 through April 26. Plays are to be 40 to 60 minutes long, and will be presented by a wide variety of organizations including professional, semi-professional and high-school drama clubs. There is a $50 entry fee for all scripts; fee is refundable if script is not accepted. Third Street Kids also seeks theatre professionals to sit on an ad hoc committee to read scripts.
