Steve Emerine, a former Pima County assessor and editor at the Arizona Daily Star, has died. He was 73.

The few times he appeared on KUAT’s Friday Round Table last year, he seemed the least healthy though his mind seemed okay.
The last time I saw Steve was at the crazy Nuke Demo Debate. He walked in, looked Nintz over, and made sure his glasses were resting on the bridge of his nose. He looked great.
