Sure, there’s a lot of great stuff in this week’s issue, including what I think is a great cover story by Todd Miller, but probably my favorite item is a small ad in the classified, placed by Congress’ legendary bartender, Tiger, following his 80th birthday celebration.

The text, in case the image above isn’t working for you:

THANK YOU!

Thanks to all the Hotel Congress employees, managers and the owners Richard and Shana Oseran, and a special thanks to all my customers at The Tap Room for celebrating my 80th birthday. Tiger

The editor of the Tucson Weekly. I have no idea how I got here.

The image works fine, I just don’t understand why someone felt the need to make me tilt my head 90 degrees to the left.

  2. The Weekly is out of touch if they think the vote on Plan Tucson is a snoozer. They must have missed the heated meeting of the Planning Commission on 4/22. KVOA covered it. The Planning Commission voted 7-3 NOT to recommend the Plan to the Mayor and Council. We’ll see what happens at the meeting on 6/11. You all missed a hot issue.
