We have been speculating on which DC Comics character Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson should play in a future film. It looks like we’ll finally have some closure. Total Film’s Josh Winning asked the actor who he would like to play. The Rock has been in ongoing discussion with the movie studio, and it looks like they finally settled on a character. Johnson admitted to toying with the fans and asking them which character would best fit him and his personality.
He says the character has the power of Superman, and to just say the “word.” I don’t think it’s “Fan Boy” or Robin.
Obviously, he’s going to play Shazam? All this time we thought he was going to play Black Adam.

I hate that in this ret-conned omniverse Captain Marvel is called Shazam! Shazam was the ancient Egyptian wizard who gave Billy Batson his powers in the old subway tunnel.
Oh well, stupid of DC to let the trademark lapse and kinda evil of Stan the Man to swoop it up and keep it. Captain Marvel and the Marvel family were my favorite comics back in the day. Captain Mar-Vel is just about the lamest character in the Marvel universe.
I could see Johnson as Shazam. I hope they get Jackie Earl Hailey to play Dr. Savanna
