HOLIDAY YOUTH BASKETBALL. Sporting Chance Youth Basketball is now accepting registration for youth basketball teams between the ages of 8 to 14 for the 1996 Tucson Holiday Tip-Off tournament, held in association with the Tucson Fiesta Bowl. Opening ceremonies will be December 26, with tournament games continuing through December 29 at the Bear Down Gym on the University of Arizona campus, along with other sites in Tucson. Registration is $95 per team, with financial assistance available for qualifying teams. Each team is guaranteed four games. Call Sporting Chance at 888-1288 for registration and information.

RIDE FOR LIFE. Start training now to raise funds to battle AIDS in Arizona. The AIDS Ride for Life is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 through Saturday, April 19. Route begins at the Grand Canyon and ends in Tucson, with route divided over seven days. Five hundred or more cyclists are needed to make the 465-mile trip, with the goal of raising $1,000,000 for independent agencies offering AIDS services in Arizona. Registration fee is $30.
