ARIZONA ROSE THEATRE. Tucson Center for Performing Arts. 408 S. Sixth Ave. 792-8480. Join the Arizona Rose Theatre Company for A Different Kind of Christmas, a musical adventure for the entire family. Performances continue at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday through December 21, with matinee performances at 2 o'clock Saturday and Sunday, December 21 and 22. The audience is encouraged to bring a camera for on-stage pictures with Santa following the performance. Donations of gently used toys will be accepted under the tree in the lobby. ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY. Continuing with evening and matinee performances through Saturday, December 21: Swinging On A Star: The Johnny Burke Musical, written and directed by Michael Leeds. This chronological showcase features seven musical vignettes, highlighting the best of Burke's career with 40 of his greatest songs.
