CATALINA CHAMBER ORCHESTRA. Berger Performing Arts Center. 1200 W. Speedway. 770-3690. The Catalina Chamber Orchestra, directed by Enrique Lasansky, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3 and 4. FOLK FEST. The 12th annual Tucson Folk Festival hits El Presidio Park, downtown, with live performances on two stages from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 3 and 4. Headliner David Wilcox performs at 8 p.m. both nights. Workshops, open jams, sing-alongs, and other special endeavors give the public a piece of the action. The Children's show features music, song, dance, face painting and storytelling. A variety of food and craft vendors will be on hand both days. Call 323-2138 for information.

PCC MUSIC. PCC Center for the Arts. 2202 W. Anklam Road. The hills are alive with the following concerts at Pima: The PCC Chorale and College Singers present the best of contemporary and classical choral works at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4. Rediscover traditional jazz roots with the PCC Jazz Band at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6. They will perform classic works by the masters, and hit a few notes of the avant-garde. PLAZA SUNDAYS. St. Philip's Plaza. 4380 N. Campbell Ave. The Tucson Jazz Society continues the Plaza Suite Spring Series at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, with Les Arbuckle on tenor saxophone, and Jeff Haskell on piano. SLONAKER SERIES. Slonaker House. 1025 E. Second St. UA campus, just east of Park Avenue. Bring a bag lunch and take a break during the Spring Slonaker Series lunchtime concerts from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Series continues Friday, May 2. SONS OF ORPHEUS. Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church. 2331 E. Adams St. The UA Balalaika Orchestra, with members of the Kalinka Dance Ensemble, performs with the Sons of Orpheus at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4. This free concert will also feature guest soloists Joanne Anderson, Yeva Shehmayeva, Matthew Holter, Timothy Woods, and Robert Stauffacher. Call 621-1649 for information.

NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. The National Symphony Orchestra visits Tucson for three ensemble performances on Thursday, May 8: a string quartet will perform at 5:30 p.m. at the Etherton Gallery, 135 S. Sixth Ave; a cello and violin duo performs at 6 p.m. at the Dinnerware Contemporary Art Gallery, 135 E. Congress St.; and a brass sextet performs at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St. These concerts are offered through the Art Walk program. Call 624-9977 for information.
