ARTS CAMP. Third St. Kids announces enrollment for a summer day-camp filled with dance, drama, stagecraft, games, fine art and more. Camp is in session from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 2 through August 1. Third St. Kids is a non-profit group providing performing arts opportunities for children with and without disabilities. Some financial assistance is available. SUMMER SCIENCE FUN. Flandrau Science Center is offering fun and educational summer science workshops for children who have completed grades 6 through 8. Summer workshops include: Webs, Wires & Waves, a look at the science of communication technology, from June 2 through 6. Cost is $60. Looking at Astronomy explores the universe of planets, stars, and galaxies, and runs from June 9 through 20. Cost is $120. Fun With Physics gives kids a chance to experiment with electricity, conduct demonstrations with liquid nitrogen and more. It runs from June 23 through 27, and cost is $60. Lasers and Holography investigates laser light and creating holograms, and runs June 30 through July 3. Class hours are 10 a.m. to noon. Application deadline is May 15. SUMMER ON STAGE. The Arizona Theatre Company offers a five-week, intensive theatre arts workshop for high school students from July 7 through August 8, at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave. Students will work on techniques including movement, character development, and production. In addition to working with ATC pros, they'll also work with guest artists and graduate students from the University of Arizona. Program concludes with evening performances August 7 and 8. Cost is $495, with some partial scholarships available. Call the UA Extended University at 624-4444 for information.

TIME TO GROW. The Pima County Extension center announces the Kids and Plants Grow summer day-camp program for kids grades 4 through 8. There are two weekly sessions: the first begins July 14, the second July 21. Kids will participate in a number of hands-on gardening activities, including planting a garden plot, making a terrarium and rooting plants from cuttings. Classes run from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Cost is $25 per one week session. Call Francine at 626-5161 for registration and information.
