TUCSON ORIENTEERING CLUB. The Orienteering Club holds an event on March 20 and 21 at Slavin Gulch in the Dragoon Mountains. There is a free beginner's clinic at 9:30 a.m. on how to use a map and compass. Costs are $8, $10 for a team, with a $5 discount for members. Call 722-8922 for information.
WAREHOUSE DISTRICT WALKING TOURS. Walking tours of Tucson's Warehouse Historic District continue every second Saturday, through April 1999. The tour groups meet at 8:50 a.m. in the lobby of the Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St., with tours beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting approximately one and one-half hours. Hosted by an expert on the history of the area, the free tours cover a section of approximately one mile and include an overview of the area's history and brief visits to several artist's studios. Groups are limited to approximately 20. Participants should dress comfortably and plan to be outdoors for the majority of the tour. RSVP to 624-9977 by 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the tour date.
