Through June 28, Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter is presenting a “celestial journey” through the SkyNights program. Led by expert science communicators, participants will delve into the mysteries of the cosmos, have a light dinner, and witness a mountaintop sunset. As the sun sets, participants can peer through the state-of-the-art telescopes and witness distant galaxies, vibrant nebulae, neighboring planets and other celestial wonders.

DeGrazia Gallery

DeGrazia Paints the Seri Indians and Ted DeGrazia’s Unseen Landscapes bring rare works out of storage and into public view for a limited time. It features paintings, watercolors and drawings from the museum’s collection. These exhibitions include pieces shown publicly for the first time as well as works unseen for decades. Visitors will wander through the ethereal adobe architecture and verdant desert garden of the historic foothills property. Hand built by DeGrazia, the 10-acre site stands as a testament to his legacy of artistic brilliance and his genuine connection to the region’s history, culture and scenery.

Tucson Foodie 

Launches ‘Foodie Summer’

Tucson Foodie announced the launch of “12 Weeks of Foodie Summer,” a community dining campaign designed to inspire Tucson residents to eat local through the summer. The campaign runs May 18 through August 9, 2026 and is produced in partnership with 510 South Marketing, with support from AZ Wine Collective. This week is AZ Wine Week which is a statewide celebration of the vineyards, winemakers, wine bars and winery tours.

Storytime at the Fox

Attendees are invited to experience a storytime fit for the Fox Tucson Theatre. Bring a beloved children’s book to life on the Fox Theatre’s big screen with a unique storytime experience featuring theatrical fun and popcorn. Designed as a relaxed introduction to theatre spaces for young audiences, the event also promotes early childhood literacy with activities and learning resources provided by educators from Make Way for Books.

Buffalo Soldier

Cathay Williams, an African American woman, successfully posed as a man and served in the U.S. Army in the 1860s. Floyd Gray will discuss her experiences as a Buffalo Soldier, serving in the 38th Infantry (one of six segregated, all-black regiments) during the Civil War. Floyd Gray is an Adjunct Researcher in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. He serves as the Vice President on the Board of Friends of Tucson’s Birthplace.

Attendees that join Pima Air & Space Museum and the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum can experience both museums on select evenings with discounted admissions and themed activities. RISE: From Adversity to Light

Teen Outdoor Filmmaking Camp

This immersive, hands-on camp is for teens who want to forge a deeper connection with nature through a combination of direct experience and the arts. During the week of the camp—a collaboration between the Tucson Village Farm and the Fox Tucson Theatre—participants will head into Southern Arizona’s most inspiring landscapes, including field trips to Santa Rita’s and Mt. Lemmon.  There they will put into practice the arts techniques and understandings that they will be learning from filmmakers, writers, and environmental advocates, developing skills ranging from creative communication and cinematography to audio recording and editing.

The Southern Arizona Arts Guild presents Artfully Crafted: Gifts that Tell a Story for Dads and Grads at the SAAG Gallery in Joesler Village on Wednesday June 10th, 3-5pm.
