STAFF PICK: Watch and you'll see why Bill Rogers, the meteorologist at KGUN--Channel 9, is known around here as Mr. Bill. We will be honest here: We don't usually watch the 10 p.m. news for the NEWS; we watch for the WEATHER. And sometimes we already know what the weather will be like, so the real reason we enjoy it is Rogers. In one word, he's mellifluous. His presentation isn't just the day's stories about storm systems and temperatures, it's a smooth rich flow of information from a sweet voice, kind of like a glass of warm milk before bed. As if that were not enough, the guy is smart too! This friendly, balding guy with the Ph.D. also teaches meteorology at Pima Community College. From the satellite views to the barometric pressure, from "Bill's 5-Day" forecast to tomorrow's "Wake-Up Weather," nobody does it so well or with such style.
