Best Frozen Yogurt Shop With A Cause

STAFF PICK: Not only does I Can't Believe It's Yogurt!, at 4300 N. Campbell Ave., have the richest, creamiest and most sinfully delicious flavors of fat-free frozen yogurt in town, their unending dedication to helping animals is heart-warming. By the time you've made a choice between the decadent peanut-butter fudge, tangy key lime, luscious white chocolate, tart peach, bittersweet coffee or almond fudge to die for, you will realize this is not just another franchise. Everything about the shop is warm and homey. This local hangout has become the Cheers of the '90s, where regulars stop off for a "nightcap" on their way home. It is not unusual to see folks exchanging photos of a new kitten or their dog's recent birthday party. In addition to money, this family-owned business donates their time, energy and gallons of frozen yogurt to assist the overworked and under staffed organization. Conveniently placed by the cash register is a Humane Society donation box. Posted above it are "before and after" stories and photos of animals that benefited from the donations. Owners Lee John, Laurie and Leslie Glatz know the regulars--as well as their pets--on a first-name basis. After asking how the "kids" are, they gladly offer a cup of French vanilla for those faithful four-legged friends waiting outside with their noses pressed against the glass or a doggie bag for the creatures waiting at home.
