Best Tirimisu

STAFF PICK: Whether concluding another delicious meal at the B&B Café, 330 S. Scott Ave., or indulging in some after-theatre dining, we can think of no better choice than the tirimisu. This ambrosia-like Italian confection consists of ladyfingers soaked in espresso topped with a mixture of sugar, eggs, mascarpone cheese and dusted with cocoa. Although it may be hard to envision, take our word for it, this is a heavenly dessert. B & B, never ones to scrimp on portions, will serve you an enormous amount of the stuff, which at first you might worry is far to big to consume at one sitting. Tirimisu, however, is one of those sneaky sweet treats rests deceptively light on the palate and keeps the hand-to-mouth action moving smartly along. We're guessing you won't have any trouble at all polishing off the whole thing.
