Best Mexican Bread

STAFF PICK: The staff's tooth is sweet, and the best breads you'll find at regularly are the pan dulces, that myriad of goodies of bread slightly sweet, curled like little horns or shaped like ears of sweet corn, sprinkled with sugar and colored to delight the eye. The best regular bread most often found at Le Cave's 1219 S. Sixth Ave., is the birotito, a small oval loaf, but you have to get there early because so many of Tucson's best Mexican restaurants use these for their tortas. As the weather cools, and time from baking their famous cakes permits, Le Cave's starts to make more of the varieties of Mexican bread they've been famous for.
