Best Western-Atmosphere Breakfast Deal

STAFF PICK: One of Tucson's greatest landmarks is the Round-up Steak House, 1420 E. Benson Hwy. The place was closed for awhile after long-time owner Dave Webb died, but it's re-opened under the direction of his widow Wanda, who's trying hard to re-establish the restaurant side and hopes to get the saloon operational again. Most of the atmosphere is still preserved and much of the neat junk still hangs from the ceiling, but they have lost the cigarette machine by the front door with the bullet hole in it. The Round-up has a great breakfast deal: one egg, one pancake, one slice of bacon for $1.11. Double everything for $2.22, triple for $3.33--'til 10:30 a.m. Take that, Denny's! If you miss breakfast, the lunch and dinner menus have more real food at reasonable prices. Hours are 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. This place should be declared a cultural shrine.
