This discussion will teach about bear habits and habitats, bear etiquette and what's being done to keep Mt. Lemmon's bears safe and free. Reservations are required.

SHELLING OUT. Arizona State Museum, UA campus inside the main gate at University Boulevard and Park Avenue. Learn the different ways Prehistoric Native Americans of the Southwest used marine shells from distant sources to fashion ornaments and other objects in a three-class series led by Arthur Vokes, curator of archaeological collections at the Arizona Sate Museum. Classes meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday October 8, 15 and 22. Class format will include lecture, slides and examination of shell artifacts in the collections of the Arizona State Museum.
