CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS. Oracle State Park's Center for Environmental Education needs volunteer naturalists. The Center offers a free four-week training course to prepare volunteers to lead the Oracle Odyssey program for schools. No experience necessary, just a love of nature and the desire to share it with others. Training begins the week of September 9. Call (520) 896-2425 for information.

CLEAR CREEK ADVENTURE. Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park. 4619 E. Washington, Phoenix. (602) 459-0901. Get ready for adventure and breathtaking scenery. The Pueblo Grande Museum and Cultural Park presents a van tour and hike in the Clear Creek Wilderness from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 15. Participants will take a van to the trailhead where they'll embark on a four mile round trip hike. The trail is steep and moderately difficult. Hikers must be in good physical condition, wear proper hiking shoes, bring 2 quarts of water and a snack lunch. Cost is $45, $30 for members. Pre-registration is required. Nature Conservancy. Get out of the bustle of town and take a trip to the Nature Conservancy's Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Visitor Center. There you can get back to nature and enjoy bird watching, guided tours and hikes. Regular preserve hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Take Highway 82 to Patagonia, head west on Fourth Avenue, and south on Pennsylvania. Call (520) 394-2400 for information.

TOHONO CHUL PARK. 7366 N. Paseo del Norte. 742-6455. Tohono Chul Park grounds are open from 7 a.m. to sunset daily. Exhibit hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2. Enjoy a Walk in the Park tour at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday. Tours depart at 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; Art in the Park tours, docent-guided looks at gallery exhibits, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday. CALL FOR DOCENTS. Tohono Chul needs docents for its 1996-1997 program. Training begins Wednesday, October 2, and meets twice weekly for three hours. Docents are required to be members of the park and training costs $60. Call 797-1711 for more information.
