FUN AT CORONADO. The Coronado National Memorial offers free fun and informative programs for the entire family during the months of July and August. No reservations are necessary; just bring yourself in sturdy clothes and shoes, wear lots of sunscreen and don't forget drinking water! Take a look at the homes, habitats and food chains of desert-dwelling animals along Joe's Canyon Trail at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 20, starting at Montezuma Pass. The Memorial's Visitor Center is located in Montezuma Canyon, five miles west of Highway 92 (15 miles south of Sierra Vista, 21 miles west of Bisbee). GET FRESH. Want fresh, delicious and healthy fruits and vegetables? Get the real thing, and pick it yourself, at Hudson Farms in Wilcox. NATURE CONSERVANCY. Visit the Nature Conservancy's Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Visitor Center and enjoy bird watching, guided tours and hikes. Regular preserve hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Take Highway 82 to Patagonia, head west on Fourth Avenue, and south on Pennsylvania. Call (520) 394-2400 for information.

TOHONO CHUL PARK. 7366 N. Paseo del Norte. 742-6455. Tohono Chul Park grounds are open from 7 a.m. to sunset daily. Exhibit hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2. The park presents Walk in the Park tours at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday. Tours depart at 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and last about one hour. Art in the Park tours, docent-guided looks at gallery exhibits, are offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The Tohono Chul Tea Room serves twilight dinners from 5 to 8 p.m. Call 797-1711 for dinner reservations. Cost is $2, free to members. Call 742-6455 for reservations and information.

ORIENTING EXPRESS. Learn how to find where you are and where you're going using maps, compasses and pointers from the Tucson Orienteering Club Sunday, July 21, at Lincoln Park. This meeting is especially for beginners. There is a first-timers clinic at 7:45 a.m., followed by open practice of your new-found skills on an orienteering course. Cost is $5 for individuals, or $7 per team. Enter Lincoln Park on the east side of Pantano Road between Escalante and Irvington roads, just south of Santa Rita High School.
