HOMEWORK HELP. The Tucson Pima Public Library offers free homework help for first through 12th graders at 41 locations. Call 791-4391 for information.

GYM JAM. The City of Tucson offers the Summer Open Gym "Jam" program at Amphi Middle School, Catalina High School, Palo Verde High School, Pueblo High School and Sunnyside High School for youths ages 8-18. The supervised activities continue from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday through July 22. Call the City Sports Office at 791-4870 for information.

TUCSON BOTANICAL GARDENS. 2150 N. Alvernon Way. 326-9698. Bring your kids in for Butterflies, Books and Bugs, a story hour every Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Porter Hall. Admission is $4, $3 for seniors and TBG members and children are free.

TUCSON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. 200 S. Stone Ave. 792-9958. See a 100 foot, 3-D blue whale replica from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 4. Family weekend treasure hunting workshops take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, and from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 4. Enjoy Teens 'N Tots Storytelling at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 3. Admission is $5, $4 for seniors and $3 for children.
