GOTTA DANCE! Sue's Dance Studio. 2514 E. Sixth St. Aspiring performers ages 9 through 15 get a chance to prepare for Broadway and more at Sue's Dance Studio's Musical Theatre Workshop, June 24 through July 31. Guests artists, including the amazing Stuart Moulton, will lead kids in stage make-up, drama, vocal coaching, dance, audition techniques and more. Listings SATURDAY NIGHT HOOPS. The Lohse YMCA and Tucson Parks and Recreation Center team up for summer basketball fun for kids from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 14 and 28, at the Lohse YMCA on the northeast corner of Church Avenue and Alameda Street. Two courts will be open both evenings: one for kids ages 13 to 15, the other for kids ages 16 to 19, with games beginning every hour. Admission is $2. SUMMER SLAM IV. Sporting Chance Youth Basketball is now accepting registration for youth basketball teams for the McDonald's Summer Slam IV Youth Basketball Tournament July 10 through 13, and July 24 through 27. There are 13 divisions for kids ages 8 through 17. Registration costs vary, with financial assistance for qualifying teams. Space is limited. Call Sporting Chance at 888-1288 for information.

TIME TO GROW. The Pima County Extension center announces the Kids and Plants Grow summer day-camp, for kids grades 4 through 8. Start dates for the two, one-week sessions are July 14 and 21. Kids will participate in a number of hands-on gardening activities, including planting a garden plot, making a terrarium, and rooting plants from cuttings. Classes run from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Cost is $25 per one week session. Call Francine at 626-5161 for registration and information.
