Continuing through June 21: Directions: Point of Fracture, an installation by Amy Zuckerman combining photographs and tape recordings of the families of murder victims. Continuing through August 2: El Alma del Pueblo: Spanish Folk Art and its Transformation in the Americas, a folk-art exhibition of more than 300 objects depicting the enduring Spanish influence on Latino communities in the Americas. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for seniors and students, and free for children under age 12. Admission is free for all on Tuesdays.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. Upstairs Film is currently accepting submissions for the new short film screening series, Mixed-Media Mondays, at the Club Congress. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. The Desert Botanical Gardens announces a call for entries for the third annual Art In Bloom exhibit. Participating artists are required to submit for-sale works inspired by the Southwest desert environment, valued from $25 to $2,000, and one work valued at $125 for the silent auction. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. A national juried exhibition inspired by urban sprawl in the Sonoran Desert entitled Encroachment: Nowhere to Hide, seeks entries in all media from artists 18 and older. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. T/PAC Community Gallery announces pre-submission meetings for two public art opportunities: $14,000 has been commissioned for art for a neighborhood center in Freedom Park. The meeting is at
4 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Columbus Branch Library, 4350 E. 22nd St. And $10,000 has been commissioned for artwork for SunTran's new University transit hub. The meeting is at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the UA visitor center on campus. T/PAC is also seeking submissions of works in all media priced up to $1,800 by local artists for the City of Tucson's permanent collection.
