WONDERLAND AND OZ. Follow your favorite fantasy characters Between Wonderland and Oz at Valley of the Moon from 7 to 9:30 p.m. April 11 through 14, and April 18 through 21. Somewhere deep in the Tugley Wood or on the road to Oz, children and adults are sure to find mystery and adventure. Valley of the Moon is located at 2544 E. Allen Road, just north of Prince Road and east of Tucson Boulevard. Admission is $5, $3 for children ages 7 to 12, and free for children under 7 years and members. Call 323-1331 for information.

KIDFEST. ORTS Theatre of Dance hosts KIDFEST 1996, an afternoon of fun, entertainment, sweet treats and a silent auction of wonderful items for youth and family, Sunday, April 14, at the Tucson Center for the Performing Arts, 408 S. Sixth Ave. Complimentary drinks and food are offered. Cost is $2 adults, $1.50 children. Proceeds benefit ORTS M.O.V.E.S., a matinee series created to provide free dance performances and entertainment alternatives for today's youth. Call 624-3799.

OPEN HOUSE. Tucson Community School hosts an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at 2109 E. Hedrick Drive. TCS is a parent cooperative preschool and kindergarten accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Age appropriate activities are planned. SUMMER PROGRAMS. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum offers a number of workshops and activities for children and families throughout the summer beginning in May. Programs include learning about the stars, a family saguaro harvest and camp-out, desert ecology, and many programs about the animals of our region. Call 883-3018 for schedule and information.

FINE ARTS PROGRAM. The Tucson Girls Chorus is currently registering for its Summer Fine Arts Program for children in grades 1 through 6, beginning June 3. Parents' Corner

CASA CONFERENCE. The third annual Casa Conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Plaza Hotel, 1900 E. Speedway. This year's theme is Hero/ine's Quest: Keeping Buoyancy Alive in the Spirits of Children and Those Who Care for Them. The conference features keynote speakers Harriet Stonehill, M.S.Ed. and Hugh Prather, guided play circles, musical presentations and discussion panels. Cost is $40. RAINBOW FAMILIES. Rainbow Families, a gay, lesbian and bisexual parents network, holds a support and discussion group every third Saturday of the month. Meetings are held in Room 31 of St. Francis in the Foothills Church at River and Swan roads. The next meeting is at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20. PARENT TALKS. Lineweaver Elementary School hosts Parent Talks, a series of free presentations from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday evenings through June 13 at 461 S. Bryant. Presentations allow families free access to parenting experts and other professionals from the Tucson community. Childcare is provided by Center for the Difficult Child. THE PARENT CONNECTION. The Parent Connection, 5326 E. Pima St., offers a variety of educational and support services for families. The program's core is its Parent/Child Play program, which brings parents and children together for activities geared toward the social and physical development of infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The program provides instruction and discussion on communication, setting limits and nurturing for young children. The Parent Connection also offers a meeting site, library, indoor/outdoor play areas and referral to community resources for families.
