WELLNESS WORKSHOP. Allen Smith, Ph.D. offers a free wellness workshop entitled Core Transformation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at The Book Mark, 5001 E. Speedway. UNDERSTANDING PAGANISM. Wiccan High Priest, Ken Girard, offers a free eight-week lecture series entitled Understanding Paganism from noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays, beginning April 6 and continuing through May 25, at Himmel Park, located on Tucson Boulevard south of Speedway. Girard discusses the diverse traditions of Paganism, its history and myths. This is a progressive series. Persons are encouraged to attend from the first session.

RAISING DAUGHTERS. PCC Corporate and Community Education Division offers Raising Daughters to Powerful Women, a new parenting class, Saturday afternoons beginning April 13 and continuing through April 27. Rosemary Tindall-Gibson, MA, examines how to raise daughters free from cultural images that are often impossible standards. Call Steve at PCC at 884-6720 for registration and information.

NOURISHING OURSELVES. Lhasa Tizer offers Nourishing Ourselves Through Food & Ritual, a three week wellness workshop, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning April 18 and continuing through May 2. The workshop is concluded with a ritual dinner Saturday, May 4. A free talk on the workshop is given at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Woods Library, 3455 N. PIONEER WOMEN. Arizona Historical Society docent Lillian Stickle is the featured speaker in Arizona Pioneer Women, a lunch program at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at Smuggler's Inn, 6350 E.
