JUST FOR KIDS. Temple of Music and Art. 330 S. Scott Ave. 884-4875. Join the Tucson Symphony Orchestra at 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 1, for a Rootin'-Tootin' Dancefest. Program features premier performances of a musical dramatization of Susan Lowell's latest book, Little Red Cowboy Hat, and she will be on hand signing and selling her new work. Music by Bach, Strauss and Tchaikovsky will also be performed, along with a few special appearances by local youngsters Klara Wojtkowsa, Katie Boyle, James Rappaport, Mary Anderson, and Gilad Miamon, all primary school students with a knack for music. SING A LITTLE. Third St. Kids now has openings in its Thursday Opera Project class, from 4 to 6 p.m. Students with and without disabilities who like to sing and are 10 to 21 years of age are invited to attend. WIGGLE & STRETCH. Zenith Dance Center. 330 N. Seventh St. Kids ages three to 10 are invited to burn off some of that creative energy at a Children's Creative Movement Class beginning February 5. Classes are from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. for kids ages 7 to 10, and from 4 to 5 p.m. for children ages 3 to 5. Classes continue Wednesday evenings through February 26. Cost is $30.
