Please try to contain your excitement while reading. Thank you, and God bless.

Alright, Jimmy….I agree, it is very weird that folks aren’t commenting on things.
But, you all finally coming out with an endorsement in the CD8 race should! Especially on the day that this article (with a ton of comments) went up: http://www.azstarnet.com/allheadlines/141348.php
I mean, really, is “everyone else is endorsing her” enough of a reason to go with Giffords?
On the queer scene (the one I’m most in touch with here) an HRC endorsement isn’t all that impressive. Here an article describes the controversy, with a special nod to HRC’s courting of “moderate Republicans.” http://www.homestead.com/stonewalldemocratsnys/files/Data_Lounge.htm
If anything, the Lieberman loss in Conn can indicate a shift in Democratic values: we don’t want someone that is afraid to say what party they represent in ads (i.e. Pedersen and Giffords recent non-partisan ads.) Dems are looking for someone to stand up to Bush and the Republicans running the country.
Hope folks start commenting more!!! Dialogue is always fun!
Thanks for the thoughts, Becky. I agree those would be silly reasons to endorse Gabrielle Giffords if they were the only reasons. However, they aren’t. For me (and for the record, I was one of the weakest Giffords supporters — I like a lot about Weiss and especially Latas), it came down to the fact that Giffords has paid her dues and has a voting record (which Weiss and Latas don’t)–and it’s a pretty good record at that.
