  1. Have they started writing tickets yet or are they still in “Demonstration” mode?

Schools, schools, schools. We must protect the Children. Won’t someone PLEASE think of the children? I’d like to find the actual data on how many children in Tucson have been killed by speeding motorists in school safety zones. It is amazing to me how we can enact policy not on the basis of reality, but on the basis of a vivid fantasy of what might happen. The fantasy is so vivid in some people’s minds you have to wonder if they actually want to kill their children themselves (they seem quite fixed on the idea of their children dying in “accidents”).

  2. That van’s schedule is from 7 a.m. till 10 p.m. with no breaks listed throughout the schedule.

Does the staff swap out throughout the day? Or is there one sad-sack employee who drives the van between locations, sitting in the sweltering heat, doing a book of sudoku puzzles and carefully urinating in an empty gallon milk container?

  3. No, no, no… you don’t understand the miracles of “outsourcing”. Milk jug! What an absurdity! He sits in the van in absolute comfort whilst an eleven year old boy in Indonesia urinates for him for a mere seventy five cents a day.
