I am now informed that the County Board of Supes agenda item on the Santa Ritas has been postponed until Jan. 16, 2007.
In the meantime, call your supe and tell them to take a stand against this.

Yet Another Santa Ritas Postponement

I’m not able to call during the day, but I did e-mail all the supervisors twice urging them to vote in favor of the much-delayed resolution opposing the proposed Rosemont mining. How many responses did I get? Zero. Let’s face the fact that the supervisors don’t want to deal with this issue and devote our efforts to things that might actually make a difference, such as pushing for congressional action to halt the mining.
