Either way, there will be plenty of pork to go around at Tucson’s first Porktober event on Friday, Oct. 26, at Mercado San Agustin at 100 S. Avenida del Convento. Several local food trucks – including Planet of the Crepes and Mexico City Kitchen – will be there, as will one member of the team from one of our favorite trucks, Animal Farm. Chefs from Agustin Brasserie and Taqueria el Pueblito will also be in attendance.
I’ve long thought Tucson needed an event like Seattle’s magnificent Burning Beast. Could this be the first step in that carnivorous direction?

This month has been crammed with wonderful things to do here in the Old Pueblo!
Before going to this appalling spectacle, view the videos on the Mercy For Animals site in order to see what we’re putting animals through just for some people’s passing whims. The videos were taken by MFA undercover investigators in states which have not yet criminalized these private investigations.
Wow, this will be so yummy, several large city have food truck parks for people to eat at lunch or in the evening. In Tucson, it has been a difficult event because of the attitude of our council. I hope lots of people turn out and this event can continue. Thanks
