It was a strange night to be downtown on Saturday as Insane Clown Posse and their truckloads of Faygo terrorized the Rialto Theatre. I happened to be in the Hotel Congress lobby to see a stream of heavily intoxicated Juggalos with remnants of face-paint try to get past the club’s security, with one particularly upset individual attempting to throw a potted plant at an employee. [Update: the plant thrower was just a jerk apparently, not a Juggalo.] Plus, there was this addition to a fountain at the new Centro Garage:

Solid use of type, however.
Meanwhile, on Saturday Night Live, their running gag of mocking ICP continued with this tribute to the group’s YouTube based marketing campaign. It’s unfortunate that Columbus Day Assblast is a fictitious event, because it sounds like a pretty good time:

I saw their semi-truck pull in Saturday at 1pm with a bunch of funny-looking groupies nearby and was wondering who was playing. Not my kind of “music”.
Mr. Gibson, in fairness, I was working at the hotel that night and the Juggalos were annoying, but not troublesome. The guy who threw the flowerpot was not a Juggalo. He was just a common dooshbag, from Phoenix, of course.
I am not saying this to defend the ICP or the derranged cult that has coalesced around them. It should be noted that the aforementioned dooshbag was immediately arrested because of an enhanced police presence due to the trouble that the Juggalos have caused in the past.
Fair enough, Tom. There were a few Juggalos being escorted out when I was in there around the same time as the flowerpot incident, so I thought it was one of those individuals. Still, it was far different down there than most Saturday nights, for certain, for better or worse.
