Finally, one state that has balls as well as maple syrup.
Vermont has the courage to endorse impeachment. I’m been endorsing impeachment for years, but nobody listened. Clinton gets impeached for a blow job.
Somehow, the two stooges have gone on their merry way destroying U.S. allegiance and credibility, creating enemies where there were none, perpetrating senseless war, and just being generally stupid and reprehensible.
All in favor of impeaching the axis of error, say aye …

That’s silly. Impeachments need to start inside the Senate, not the states. And I’m sure the brains in Vermont knows that.
There’s nothing ballsy here, it’s just political posturing, does nothing.
No, impeachment formally starts in the House, not the Senate. And, in fact, Dennis Kucinich is introducing articles of impeachment against “Big Dick” Cheney tomorrow in the House Judiciary Committee (http://www.thenation.com/blogs/thebeat?bid=1&pid=189256).
This anomaly aside, the U.S. Congress rarely leads the way on anything, except in rewarding their home district corporate sponsors with pork. It’ll only be after the word “impeachment” gets bandied about enough in the mainstream media (which starts to happen a bit in the wake of events like this Vermont endorsement) that Congressional Democrats might find the balls to start talking about the Constitution, abuse of power, and legal remedies for a rogue regime that routinely dares anyone to try to hold it accountable.
We should have impeached Bush sometime around January of 2001…
