Earlier this month, the retail store Wine Depot on Grant closed down, but the owners are heading downtown to bring their expertise to a wine bar, Unplugged Tucson at 118 E. Congress, next to whatever the heck is happening with that Voodoo Jack’s space. They’re still in the midst of getting everything together according to their Facebook page, but they’re planning to open this weekend to catch the Second Saturday crowd. Wine is certainly available (on tap, even) up and down Congress currently, but generally as a bit of an afterthought to beer or cocktails, so seems like there might be a niche to fill. Good luck, Unplugged.

  1. not a fan, took forever to even be acknowledge, the wine we had was okay ( when we finally got it.) and after it was pored by the bartender,he took the bottle and put it on ice. That was nice, but, we finished our glass and could not get his attention so we sat with empty glasses for a long time,( 15 min or so) maybe it was just a bad night for them,I’m not really sure.
